Whoooooooop what a day Ashley and Allan had! I first met Allan when he was one of the groomsmen at a wedding i photographed last year, i was delighted when he got in touch and asked if i was free to shoot his and Ashley’s Loch Lomond wedding. I had never heard of Culag but i had been a guest at a Loch Lomond wedding the year before so i knew it was going to be super pretty! So Culag…. I had never seen a venue like it! There was so much going on! The first thing i noticed was the awesome view, it was just on the edge of the loch, the main house which was really quaint, it is used a B&B. Next to the B&B is a lovely large conservatory where the meal is held, guests can take in the views while they dine.. ( i suddenly feel like i’m writing a venue review…I’ll rap it up soon!) Their was also an outdoor fire place, bouncy castle, caravan, pier, cabins and another ballroom/conservatory- phew, i think that’s everything!
When i met up with Ashley in the morning she was looking through a photo book her bridesmaids had made for her, it was a really thoughtful gift, i could appreciate how much time and effort went in to it. While everything was chilled in Ashley’s cabin, Allan was running around the venue praying the rain would stay off for the ceremony! They were so lucky as the rain started just as everyone sat down for the meal. While editing Allan & Ashley’s photographs i laughed out loud a few times, the sign of a fun wedding. I was pretty surprised when Ashley said she wanted to go on the bouncy castle at night in the pouring rain! This pretty much sums up the wedding!
A big shout out to the lovely Kristin Mitchell of Struve photography who was second shooting for me, she was awesome and was always in the right place at the right time.
