Donna & Rae’s wedding at the Coo’s cathedral was so pretty, they made so much themselves, from the twine lanterns hanging from the ceiling to the paper flowers that must have taken hours of patience, i think it was worth all the effort and who knew green apples would look so awesome as name tag holders?!
I had a few weddings ‘firsts’ at Rae & Donna’s Wedding…Rae decided to take Donna’s surname! I’m not sure who decided women should take on their new husband’s name but i did find it refreshing that they decided to go against tradition and mix things up. Also Rae’s best man Stuart is a famous magician and did some trickery to Rae’s face during the speech…. I’m not sure if i will ever look at it the same way again….It was lovely to hear about Rae & Stuart’s friendship, two boys growing up in peterheed, not having much luck with the ladies so got in to magic instead. I reckon there is a film in there somewhere! The third ‘first’ was seeing a whole pig roast still fully in tact for supper, vegetarians and vegan’s look away! I love a bacon buttie but it even made me feel a bit guilty. Poor wee delicious, succulent piggy…mmmmmmmmm bacon.
Oh i just thought of another first. I managed to get in with Donna for a quick romantic pic, well it would have been romantic if i wasn’t guffawing so much! Rae wanted to swap roles and i was happy to take his place for a moment. I reckon me and Donna looked pretty cute together.
