Aberdeen wedding photographers: It was my first time photographing a wedding at Balmakewan Farm and i must admit, i fell in love with it! When i first met Euan & Emma over a year ago i had never heard of their wedding venue. It is such a pretty place, the farm tearoom is an awesome building with cottages at either side, the vast grounds are perfectly kept, the marquee sits on the lawn near a cool old wall and a field, i have a penchant for fields, i love fields with hay bales. barley, oil seed rape… i can’t walk past one without thinking of how i would photograph it (Yes that is how my mind works!) Oh and the river! It is pretty too. Enough about Balmakewan and on to the Bride! Emma was so chilled when i arrived, she was enjoying being pampered and drinking champagne with her mum and bridesmaids as i photographed her dress and details of the day. Euan arrived with his three best men who were nervously practicing their speeches. Wedding mornings always pass so quickly, before you know it, it’s time for the ceremony, it was in a beautiful spot near the pond. Emma & Euan both looked so emotional as they got closer to each other. Reverend Ewen Gilchrist did an amazing job making everyone feel relaxed and gave a touching ceremony with words of wisdom. I of course got Euan & Emma in a field for photos! Big thanks to them for agreeing to it! The speeches were heartfelt and awesome and the dance floor was mental! Enough of my rambling, time for photos….
