It’s been a while since my last blog as my life has been hectic with wedding season and moving house!! Why did i have to move house at the busiest time of year?! Well i actually haven’t moved yet, we first moved in to mum and dads for two weeks, then to my sister in laws for three weeks then in a few days back to my parents and then FINALLY in to our new home!! So as you can imagine it’s all been a bit chaotic so blogging had to take a back seat…. I have so any lovely weddings to share.
Steven & Mhairi got such a beautiful day for their wedding at St Machar’s cathedral and Meldrum House hotel. You might remember that really hot day we had back in June…It was a Thursday. The thing about summer in Aberdeen is that you remember the actual days when the sun shines all day as it really is quite a rare occurrence! When i got to Mhairi’s parent’s house for the bridal prep i was so pleased to see Mhairi was leaving her hair down, i’m a bit obsessed by Mhairi’s hair, it is so bloody beautiful! When i got to the cathedral it was great to meet up with Eilidh Robertson who was second shooting for me, i had to laugh when i was editing her pics and found one of the groom’s brothers taking a selfie with Mhairi walking up to the church with her dad and bridesmaids in the background, perfectly timed!
I was pleased i got some bride and groom images at my favourite corner in Aberdeen, i love the red post box and the Chanonry sign with the old cobbled street, we also made the most of the setting sun in the evening by nipping out for 10 minutes after the meal. I think it is a lovely time to head out again as it gives the bride and groom a few minutes to catch up on everything that’s happened on their wedding day
